Hi all and welcome to A Mile In My Boots.

Happy New Year!

Deep in the grip of winter and the credit crunch means this time of year ain't much fun for most folks but here at Boots Towers we're not brought low that easy.
Already plans are being made for two trips north of the border where you can still go for a good blast without keeping one eye out for a cash cam round every bend. Another Winster Weekender is being organised for around June time to be closely followed by a weekend in the Brecon Beacons where I was lucky enough to find a great camping spot last year.
The usual rallies are already on the calender including Nabbed, Into the Valley, Farmyard Party, Yorkshire Pudding, Stormin', and Excalibur. More to be added as time and beer money allow.
Add to this the odd weekend at the Miners at Winster and the some damn fine Saturday nights to be had at the Vic in Coalville there just ain't enough weekends in the year.

In the meantine here's some of the highlights of 2008........

Completion of GT550 rat project.
Something to hack around on in the shite weather.

First run down to the Vic this year to see excellent old school Rock 'n' Roll band Hot Rod '55. Tried to
teach Sue how to jive with mixed results.

You've Been Nabbed. Organised by the National Assocation for Bikers with a Disability.
Great weekend with funds raised to help keep bikers on the road.

Winster Weekender. Held at the Miners Standard, Winster near Matlock. My humble attempt at abikers weekend / party / rideout type o' thing. Cheap camping good grub & booze, great hosts. Started out as a weekend for the XJROC but now open to mates & mates of mates too.

Steve reach his half-century this year. this coincided conveniently with Unwanted MCC's Cock Out Rally.
I know you don't remember it Steve bood you had a good time. Thanks to the guys at Unwanted MCC
for letting us post Steve's ugly mug all over their nice rally site.

Farmyard Party. MAG's biggest and best rally of the year.

Yorkshire Pudding Rally. Now held in my home town. Took almost ten minutes to get there, didn't
even need to use the SatNav.

Stormin' the Castle. Not so much a rally this year as a crash course in extreme survival.

Dublin. Bit o' time for ourselves. Lynne n' I took ourselves off to the Emerald Isle to enjoy the craic
and plenty of the black stuff.

The Wildhearts at Carling Academy. Class act, 'nuff said!

Thanks for visiting and remember - If you feel fine Sunday morning, you ain't partied enough on Saturday night....!
