Christian Showers was diagnosed with an  Anaplastic Ependymoma – a brain tumor near the brain stem – when he was two years old.

Since October 2005, Christian has undergone multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, paralysis, a tracheotomy and many setbacks.  But most recently the worst news has come.  The tumor has reoccurred and spread and there are no longer any more options.  The family has been told to make as many memories as possible during the time they have left.

This benefit is being held to help cover funeral costs as well as the time that Christian’s father will be taking unpaid leave from work to spend with his son in his last days.
