The main facelist has been updated. The national team facelist will be updated later in the evening.
Please note that Mikhail Grabovsky has been transferred from the national list to the main list and his codes have been changed from 9033/9033 to 2780/2780.

A new international facelist has been posted to include all new players for this year's World Championships. The main facelist has also been updated -- the only NHL prospects admitted into the list since February 4th are Vladimir Evseev, Petr Prucha, Roman Voloshenko, and Aaron Voros. All others have been removed.

The typical facelist update. New NHLView audio and art.txt files as well in the file bin.

Happy New Year! Slowly, but surely, I'm getting back into the swing of things as far as NHL 2005 updates go. Over the last month, the facelist was cluttered with many players that did not belong on the list. Please remember that most players picked late in drafts and such are likely to be rejected from the list and players already in the game do not belong in the list either. Also, I'd like to reiterate to all of you to please CHECK the facelist for a player before you add them. There were many duplicated ID's in the list this time. One final note... the reason why Robert Liscak continues to be rejected is because he is not affiliated with any club in NHL 2005.

There was a mistake in the facelist until it was updated today: Chad Bassen (Frankfurt) should have face code 6515, NOT 6524.

The forum is back online and in the same location as before. Click the forum link in the left bar to go there.

The facelist has been updated.

In case you haven't been visiting the DMHN forums, you are probably wondering what happened to the Suchy_63 website and forum. Well, the RHL site, that they were running from, had its subscription expire. It is unknown when or if RHL will be put back up. But since Suchy_63 has no planned NHL 2005 updates in the near-future, he does not feel the need to look for another server at the moment. Hopefully at least the forum will be put back up soon, but for now, the site will remain down. Stick with FacePlace for any developments.

On to business... the facelist is updated. Many new players were accepted, but many were NOT, so please be aware of the changes. Since the facelist has been built up larger than expected, I did not automatically accept all players in current NHL organizations. Players that were late-round draft picks that are going to be in college the next three years and players with far-off situations like that have virtually no chance of making it to the NHL. Thus they were deleted.

As promised, an all-new National Team facelist has been posted in the File Bin. It will be solely maintained by the FacePlace staff, due to that there are too many types of National teams and it would be best that the list not be flooded. There is a crucial note about this list though. The main facelist overwrites all. Meaning that if a player from the National pool moves onto one of the NHL 2005 teams, the codes on the main list will be in effect and the player will be immediately removed from the National list. Be aware also that SLO is not Slovakia, contrary to what EA thinks. SLO is the abbreviation for Slovenia.

Speaking of abbreviations, Wolfsburg and Frlunda have abbreviation changes in the facelist, WOB and VF respectively.

New updates of the art/audio TXT files for NHLView are available, also in the File Bin.

Several Wlfe Freiburg players are included in the facelist now.

Most new entries in the facelist have been accepted and the list is updated. Alexander Dck's PBP ID has been corrected.

A reminder to people adding to the facelist... please do not include players that are ALREADY in NHL 2005. They will be automatically deleted. Also, I forgot to mention, in case you do not check the forum, there will be a separate National Team facelist posted in the future. Please sit tight while this is being created and do not put National players in the regular facelist. Thanks.

A new version of the NHLView PBP/Photo list is available in the File Bin and the Facelist has been updated as well.

Voila, the brand-new FacePlace has finally been unveiled! New look, new attitude, err... same great taste? A very large facelist is available for your needs, already containing over 670 players! The list not only includes codes for players that need to be created in the game, not only includes codes of player PBP hidden inside the game, but also includes adjustments to many player codes that should have been in the game. Many players were given random faces within the codes 5000-5059 for no reason, so the facelist can tell you the changes that you will need to make to your roster for each player to have their own individual code.

Unfortunately, EA decided to be cheap and did not include ANY new hidden prospect PBP this year, as they had in NHL 2003 and 2004. So no Alexander Ovechkin PBP this year unless someone finds a way to get PBPView to work for 2005.

Furthermore, I would like to make an announcement concerning certain play-by-play codes... The following players were given play-by-play codes in NHL 2005, but their PBP and PAA were not included of the audio files that came with the game:

47 Chris Bala
443 Darren Haydar
1893 Maxim Sushinsky
5996 Jan Benda
5997 Matt Hussey
5998 Nathan Robinson
5999 Jaroslav Obsut
6000 Christian Rohde
8326 Nolan Schaefer
and all EA players with codes from 8321 to 8341

As the day goes on, more and more portions of the site will be posted, so sit tight!
