The exact location of the birthplace of DJ Sniper remains a mystery although it is common knowledge that he spent his formative years in amongst other places the projects of urban New Jersey, the schemes of the Liverpool Toxteth area and the sprawl of Glasgow suburbia. This eclectic mix of locations has had an obvious impact on the mans music and philosophy with his influences ranging from NWA to Shack, the Stone Roses to the Streets. DJ Sniper for many years remained an enigmatic almost mythological, bedroom dj figure.
It wasn't until recent public demand led to him headlining at the legendary Strontian 2002 Yah Bass event that Sniper really hit the big time. Since then Snipers star has really been on the rise, he has recently just retuned from a three week tour of the US which took in New York, Washington DC and Atlanta amonst other places. One fan in the crowd Claire Collins is quoted as saying: DJ Sniper was amazing his energy and the range of music was incredible....just when you thought he'd played his closing track he would pull another one out the bag
